What is COLLECT SMS?
COLLECT SMS is a new service where you can send free text messages to all mobiles within the UK if the recipient pays them. The text message will be free of charge for you. If your prepaid card is empty or you need to send a message from someone's phone, or your children want to send you a text message to pick them up and don't want their mobile to be billed, it's the perfect match for you. There are plenty of reasons why COLLECT SMS is a marvelous service.
How can I use COLLECT SMS?
COLLECT SMS is as easy as writing a normal SMS, more, it's almost the same! The difference is that you include the recipients number, your name and the text in the COLLECT SMS and send it to the zero rated short code 66199. Just create a new text message on your mobile, at the beginning of the text message you write the number of the recipient, your name and send it to 66199 for FREE!. The recipient will get a notification message that a text message from you is waiting for him and that he can get it by clicking on the highlighted 66199 in the notification message and answer with "ok...". If he doesn't want to receive the SMS he just ignores the notification messages. It's so simple !
Where can I use COLLECT SMS?
You can use the free COLLECT SMS service anywhere in the UK from any mobile. No matter where you are, no matter which network you use. COLLECT SMS works with the FREE short code 66199. You can't use this service in other countries yet but we are working on this.
What is the purpose of a COLLECT SMS?
Let's say your car is broken and you just have your old mobile with no amount left on your prepaid card, just send a free text message to 66199 with your name and the number of the receiver and get help!
Your children had telephone calls with their friends all the day but no money left on their prepaid cards to send a text message to pick them up from sports ? They just need to know 66199 and you will exactly know where they are waiting.
What must I always have in mind?
You just need to know three small things:
First, the number where to send your FREE SMS, it's the 66199. Second, the telephone number of the recipient, otherwise the SMS won't find its target. Third, don't forget to write your name into the SMS so that the recipient knows what he's paying for.
Can I block unwanted COLLECT SMS?
If you are the receiver and you don't want to take and pay for the SMS, you don´t need to do anything, it's so simple ! Just ignore the message that there's a waiting SMS and you won't be charged for anything. Alternatively you can send an email to our friendly support: support@collectcall.co.uk and our team will put you on our blacklist so you won't be bothered with more notifications.
Can I block the whole COLLECT SMS service so that I never get any more annoying "received SMS" messages?

What are "Blacklists"?
Blacklists are lists that are created by the system to prevent fraud. If a user
doesn't want to be bothered by this service any longer, he can send an email
to our friendly support: support@collectsms.co.uk and our team will put him
on our blacklist so he won't be bothered with more notifications. His MSISDN
(Mobile Subscriber Integrated Services Digital Network Number) will be added
to a blacklist. If someone tries to send a collect SMS to this user, he will
get a notification, that this user blocked this service.
